3700 miles in 11 days...on scooters

Story by Jesse Morrow March 1st, 2017

When I first heard that my friend's scooter club, Soldiers of Destiny, was riding across the country on 125cc engines, I knew I had to document the trip. These guys are known as the lovable idiots of the Seattle scooter community who ride around town in animal helmets. Seven riders from the club decided to take on this seemingly ridiculous journey to experience the true open road at a leisurely speed and raise awareness for an inspiring charity.

Once I had approval from the club to join the trip, I bought a scooter in Florida, stocked up on film, and a few weeks later, found myself ripping down the highway at a full 50mph. Over the course of 11 days, we traveled 3700 miles of American back roads from Fernandina Beach, Florida, to Mukilteo, Washington.
